• 10 new potatoes, cooked
  • 1 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
  • 1 tsp finely chopped garlic
  • ¼ tsp turmeric
  • 2 tbs vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp salt or to taste
  • Chopped coriander
  • Squeeze of lemon (optional)


  1. Heat the oil in a pan over a medium heat
  2. Add cumin seeds and cook until starting to pop
  3. Add garlic cook for a few seconds
  4. Add the potatoes and sauté for 3-4 minutes
  5. Add the turmeric and salt to taste stir and cook for further 1-2 minutes
  6. Sprinkle with the chopped coriander and squeeze of lemon if using, and serve
